What got you interested in the Martial Arts?
I’d tried a Tae Kwon Do class years ago, but the class was was not energetic and it never inspired me, so I quit quickly. Years go by, my son joined CRMA at 8, then my husband, and watching them from the bleachers made me realize I wanted this for myself too. Sometimes it just takes the right school, the right teacher.
How long have you been training?
I began training with CRMA in May of 2020, as an online student during the pandemic, and never wanted to stop. I’m proof the CRMA method works online too!

What do you like to teach most?
I love teaching self defense most of all. We make it fun at CRMA, but I know how important that knowledge is, and while most people will hopefully never use it, I think it’s very important to empower everyone to be able to handle situations that may arise.
What is your favorite thing about CRMA?
It’s our people. The positive energy, the family atmosphere and the “togetherness” you feel in the gym is genuine. The tone, set by Master Carroll, and repeated by all the instructors, ensures every person feels welcome and at home at CRMA. This isn’t a “gym,” it’s a family with a dedication toward growth and confidence for every person in the room. The level of genuine care for each other is unmatched.
